The institute has constituted its research and development cell from the academic session 2015-16.
The functions of the R&D cell are the following.

1. To encourage and supervise ongoing research works of the faculty member and students.

2. To take up small and medium research projects with financial assistance from AICTE under the banner of the institute.

3. To encourage and supervise publications by faculty members in reputed management journals.

4. To take up academic training activities of faculty members and students of the institute and other management institutes of Odisha.
